Santi Woman Saving
group of Daldale, Devdaha-9 is one of self reliant group among 21 group of
Devdaha VDC formed by NASSO. This village people far from the education,
development, health and facilities of government due to remote and lack of
transportation. Prior to lunch ISLP program in 2010 in Daldale, people of this
village used to maintain their life through Indian seasonal manual work.
NASSO has lunched ISLP and
supporting in goat rising profession in this village according to finding to
PRA. Now 11 household of this village are doing goat rising profession, their
life standard is improving by the income of goat rising profession.
Now, people of this village left
to seasonal migration for manual work to India due to good income from goat
rising profession. One huge model shed is constructed and 10 more improved goat
shed were constructed in this village and 11 families of magar ethnic groups
are continuously keeping 350 goats. By the impact of the 3 months Sustainable
Livelihood through Climate Change Adaptation program has bringing many changes
about climate change adoption activities in this village. This program also
brought changes in the health of people and climate change adoption through
promoting Improve cooking stove and fodder rising activities to keep maintain
forest. It has also helping to food security of people through Drip water
irrigation on vegetable farming.
They were started to conservation
of the natural resources like forests, plantation in landslide area, water
resources and organic farming etc. they got nursery management training for
alternative fodder of goats. Communities were going to Start drip and sprinkle
vegetable farming for food security and nutrition management of local people.
11 improved stoves were constructed to conservation of firewood and health of
people.
