Nepali Abinash Social Service Organisation (NASSO) is based in the Rupandehi district (south-west Nepal). With a strong emphasis on helping people to help themselves, many of NASSO's activities involve supporting individuals to develop their own livelihoods. This involves assisting individuals to establish a small business such as a pig raising program, vegetable farming or allowing families to participate in an animal lending scheme. These
small inputs, for those who need it most, have a huge impact on the recipients, who would otherwise have no means of getting started on a path to a better quality of life. NASSO's other main focus is helping promotes the education of girls in rural Nepal and operates the UMN supports its partner NASSO in their work to help people lift themselves out of poverty, focusing on micro-credit and income generationactivities.
